Frequently Asked Questions
Who do I contact to list something on the Patriots’ Mercantile website?
You are easily able to create and list your own items. Simply create an account, designing your ‘store’ if you wish, then listing your items using the item builder. We worked hard to make the process as simple as possible. Please contact us if you need help. Our email is listed below.
Does Patriots’ Mercantile guarantee the items sold?
We do not guarantee any items offered for sale on Patriots’ Mercantile. What we do guarantee is the opportunity to offer for sale and/or the opportunity to seek what you have or want so long as it is lawful. We do not and will not pass judgement on taste or sensitivities. We believe that we will attract a clientele that is more likely to identify with the concept that “your word” is worth something; in short, we expect that ethics and integrity will be the norm.
There was a time when a deal would be struck, the buyer would “snail mail” a money order or certified (or even personal) check to the seller that would be cashed BEFORE the item would be shipped. We have developed to where we are now because of people with honor respecting each other and themselves. It is, however, still prudent for buyers to beware.
Will Patriots’ Mercantile reimburse me for items that were not shipped to me?
We provide folks a platform to conduct business that other platforms will NOT allow. It is that simple. With that being the case, it would be of no service to anyone; most especially the seller, to not uphold their end of the deal.
Is it legal to buy guns over the internet?
Yes. The process is not hard but there is a process. In fact, consider it a “two-step” process. The first step is that buyer and seller come to terms on purchase price, handling, shipping and insurance. Once this is done funds are transferred and the second step is initiated. See “How do I legally transport a firearm from one state to another?” for the second step.
How do I legally transport a firearm from one state to another?
OK, the process is not really different for transfer regardless if crossing state lines or not. The seller will take the serialized firearm to his or her local FFL and contract them to send the item to the FFL of the buyer’s choice (in the same state or otherwise). Upon arrival at the buyer’s FFL the buyer will be notified and then go in to file all required documentation.
What items will Patriots’ Mercantile forbid to be sold on the site?
The only items that we forbid are those that are illegal – narcotics, child pornography, expressly and universally illegal weapons, etc.
